Friends of the Fitchburg Senior Center's Oktoburgfest September 19

The Friends of the Senior Center are planning the first annual Oktoburgfest Saturday, September 19 from 2-8pm, and we at Beers For Good have offered to help. We are excited about the Octoberfest tradition coming back to Fitchburg. Wachusett Brewing is the primary sponsor for this event, which will feature their portfolio of craft ales, including, of course, their new Octoberfest!

Many of you may remember the annual Beer Und Weinfest events at Saima Park a few years back. The Friends of the Senior Center hope to recreate that experience at the Fitchburg Armory, with The Jolly Kopperschmidts playing your German beer hall favorites and German Food cooked on site.

The event will be held at the rear of 50 Wallace Avenue in downtown Fitchburg, MA. Grove Street will be closed during the event, and a large tent will provide cover for tables and German food and music.

We are not in charge of this event, but have offered to assist in what we think will be a great time for Fitchburgers.

Advance tickets available through Friday afternoon for $10 at:
Mill #3 Farm Stand, 85 Westminster Street
Gomes Liquors, 58 Ashby State Road
Municipal Offices, 166 Boulder Dr
The Boulder Cafe, 880 Main Street

Tickets are $15 the day of the event. Get there early to get a free Oktoburgfest glass with entrance. Only the first 400 entrants will receive the souveneir glass. Wachusett beers and german foods will be available for purchase.

Event entrance is near the corner of Grove Street and Elm Street, at the rear of the Armory.
